The number of times my machine hangs because I’ve either got too many tabs open in Firefox or too many programs open in Windows or a mixture of both is quite regular. My solution was too open up Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and End the process there but for some reason it always used to take a little longer than expect. Then a few weeks ago I discovered “SuperF4” and it works like a treat.
What SuperF4 basically does, is kill the process of the foreground window when you press Ctrl+Alt+F4. You can also kill a process by pressing Win+F4 and then clicking the window with your mouse. You can press escape or the right mouse button to exit this mode without killing a program. SuperF4 should be able to kill all kinds of processes, whether they are hung or not. Beware though, SuperF4 effectively kills the program and doesn’t give it a chance to save unsaved work etc…
Got this in the post last week and I’m listening to it everywhere I go. Here’s a quote from Godfrey’s site:
“Another historic night in the story of the rising revival in the UK. GB is a prophetic song writer who captures in music a snapshot of what is going on in the church and the nation. His latest album “Hijacked into Paradise” just burns with the Spirit of glory, the joy and the wild fire. Many of us came from all over the UK to support this album recording night! It was a mixture of drunken joy, pirates, crazies and the hungry! GB is a legend!” – Emerge Wales
If you’re interested in listening to some samples then head over to Godfrey’s site – www.godfreyb.com. Links to download chords & lyrics are available there too.
Wow, I started writing on this blog and all of a sudden I hit writer’s block – the good news is that I’m back and as a sign of new times I’ve even updated the old look also. If you like the new look then you can go here to download this theme as well as many others.
As I was checking my mail on Sunday afternoon I was somewhat shocked to read about the announcement that Delirious? are coming to an end in 2009. I have been a fan since the “Cutting Edge” days and all I can say is that they will surely be missed. See below a copy of the press release.
We would like to address all our fans, our friends and people around the world who have faithfully supported Delirious? After 14 albums, thousands of shows in front of millions of people, and many extraordinary memories, we have decided that at the end of 2009 we will take a break from recording and playing as a band. Our decision was triggered by a request from Martin to be released from the band to pursue new projects including his work with CompassionArt and the desire to be at home more with Anna and his children. We have of course honoured this request and made a decision together that now is the time to end this chapter of our lives. We will continue to play and be excited about our current tours and bookings but will not be adding many more over the coming 17 months..We are all so deeply grateful to our incredible fans who have sung the songs and allowed Delirious? the privilege of providing the soundtrack to many lives over the years. From the school hall in Littlehampton to the stadiums of the world we have many stories to tell our children’s children. Delirious also would not be what it is without our amazing wives and families, and our gratitude to them is immense. We will now move forward to the next part of our lives where new challenges unfold and greater stories will be written. We want to make it absolutely clear that although this decision has been extremely painful and difficult, we are still great friends and our respect for each other is unquestionable. We love playing in this band together and know that even though 2009 will bring an end to this current journey, there will be more adventures together in years to come.We always used to say that we were ‘taking it wherever it goes’. The music ended up going further and deeper than we could ever have dreamed, yet we are now at a point where our creative futures will spread out and take on different journeys. Thanks again for believing in us through all these years. We believe the best is yet to come.Jon, Martin, Paul, Stu G and Tim
Well there I was surfing the net today and I came upon this cool little site – Tiltviewer. This is a handy piece of code that allows photos to be presented in a typical slide show with a twist – in an almost 3D like grid allowing people the freedom to glide around your photos. To quote from their site: “is a free, customizable 3D Flash image viewing application”
In order to use it, you will need to download the code and install it on your site, but once that’s done it will gives your pics a very smooth interface and backdrop. There are plenty of options for the user to as it allows you to zoom into each photo, move around in 3D and even information for each photo.
However it does sound like Tiltviewer might not be for everyone because of the installation process. But if you can follow instructions and know your way around a few lines of code then you should definitely give Titlviewer a try.
My 1st exposure to CCC (Christian City Church) was when I went to New York a few years ago and attended CCC Manhattan and subsequently bought their worship album Peace (I’ll try and get a review up too). Needless to say from then on I became an instant adopter of CCC music and searched hi and low for more of their stuff. The good news is that the search finally came to an end when I found C3Worship.com and the ever better news is that they make their albums available for free!
All that you need to do (as per their website’s instructions) is: Register, Login & Enjoy the free music. All I can say is that you will not be disappointed and I would even go as far to say that this free music is better than a number of albums that I paid full price for! So go on, give it a bash and let me know if you like C3 Worship.
As well as the 3 full albums that they have on there at the moment, they’ve also got the song charts and also some videos.
A few months ago I found this site that turns any photo and gives it a cartoonish effect. The problem was I just couldn’t remember what it was called for the world of me. So I’ve been searching hi and low for this clever little site and then low and behold today it just appears in front of me. BeFunky.com
Befunky takes images from your computer, webcam or on the web and creates a cartoonish effect that you can share with others. They call it CARTOONIZER – here’s a little something I made.
They are also planning to launch the VIDEO CARTOONIZER – where they say you will be able to turn a home movie into an animated feature film. I’m looking forward to that. In the meanwhile check out their video example below.
FOR YOUR GLORY is a collection of songs penned by Worship Leaders Joe Pringle, Nikki Fletcher, Ryan Smith and the C3 team. With songs like BREAK ME DOWN and HOLD ME TOGETHER you can’t help but feel the heartbeat of God that the music holds. Highlights of this record also include the intimate moments found in songs like WORTHY and GETHSEMANE.
This studio release continues the ever-growing evolution of sound and song writing that C3 have become known for around the world. Recorded in LA and produced by Dan and Leah Pringle, with tracks mixed by Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl jam, INXS, Switchfoot) and mastered by UE Nastasi (Panic! At the Disco, Eric Johnson) and Charlie Watts (Fleetwood Mac, Incubus, Norah Jones), this album has an edge the industry is taking note of.
This release also includes a bonus LIVE DVD. Recorded at C3 Oxford Falls, Sydney, these 6 tracks + behind the scenes feature invite the viewer to experience worship in a new way and hear the heart of C3 for worship in the World today.

There was me thinking about a catchy new logo for IpraiseYou.com and I came upon this website www.logoease.com. They have a clever little system that allows you to create your own logos online. I must admit I’ve tried a few sites to do this, and this one by far stands out. Here are a couple of logos I created:
In my daily surf today I found this clever little site that allows users to apply some funky effects to their images. If you’re looking to do something a little different then Dumpr is for you. My favourite so far is the Rubick’s Cube effect.
You can upload photos from your own hard drive, or paste in URLs from some of the major photo hosting services, including Flickr and MySpace.
It is pretty fun to play with, and it’s great for quickly doing things to photos that would take a while for a novice to learn in Photoshop. It also has a few Flickr-specific features, like searching for pictures similar to your favorites, and rating Flickr photos.
