CD Review: Paul Baloche (2007) – Our God Saves
When it comes to Paul Baloche – he does seem to be a little unknown in the UK – but considering the quality of his songs I think it’s only a question of time.
This album is a great follow up to Paul’s previous album – A Greater Song. It contains a great selection of songs which can be used in a church setting and included in the CD are also instructional videos and chord charts to help you do just that.
Tracklisting:
1. Our God Saves
2. Kingdom of God
3. Rock of Ages You Will Stand
4. Only True God
5. Prayer
6. Hallelujah to My King
7. I Cling to the Cross
8. You Gave Your Life Away
9. Praise
10. Way
11. God Most High
12. How Great Thou Art
13. Great Redeemer
14. Your Love Came Down
As far as favourite tracks – I love the energy in “Kingdom of God” it could almost be a Queen song and “I Cling to the Cross” is quiet and yet a powerful song that really touches my heart. To be honest this album feels more like “A Greater Song – Part 2” and if you enjoyed that CD then there’s good chance this will suit you.
I actually bought this album and his whole library from Paul Baloche’s website (in the US) for a mere $69 (£35) and I have to say that was the best £35 quid that I’ve spent on Christian music in a long time.
